Irina Shayk Wearing KC Designs Black Rhodium and Diamond Chandelier Earrings
Born in a small town in Russian on the eastern slope of the Southern Ural Mountains, Irina Shayk is now a model famous for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Catalog throughout the years from 2007 to 2012. She was also the cover model for the 2011 issue, which took her fame to a whole new level. She is also a model for Guess? as well as Victoria’s Secret and Intimissimi.
Her beautiful olive skin, pouty lips and shapely legs really make her stand out. Her unique look comes from her father who is of Tartar origin and blessed her with her olive-toned skin and her Russian mother who gave her those striking light eyes.
She is also well known for being the girlfriend of soccer player Christiano Ronaldo, one of pop culture’s most well known power couples. The couple have been dating since Spring of 2010 and they met via their Armani Exchange modelling campaigns. Irinia Shayk has been named No.1 on the list of the 50 Hottest Russian Women by Complex magazine and has also been given the No. 10 spot on the list of the Top 20 Sexiest Models on Models .com. In the last year she has done an impressive amount of modelling, appearing in Harper’s Bazaar Arabia and Ukraine, Marie Claire Spain, Ukraine and Russia, GQ Germany, Esquire UK, Glamour Russia and 14 different Cosmopolitan covers worldwide. She also did an editorial for Italian Vanity Fair.
Irinia Shayk has not just modelled swimwear, but she has also done some high fashion work as well, with a spread in Harper’s Bazaar in Spain as well as appearing on the cover of Elle in Spain in 2010. She received the award for “Best International Model of 2010” from Glamour Spain.
A controversy arose when she appeared nude in the GQ Spain December issue. She claimed that she had not posed nude for the photos, but the magazine had digitally removed the lingerie that she was wearing in the image.
Of course, Irina has other talents as well. She is a lover of classical music and can play a great concerto, having started piano lessons when she was only six years old and studying at a music school. She has also appeared in the Kanye West music video “Power”.
Irina has also stated that her dog, Caesare, has a claim to fame as well. He is a yellow lab who she believes was fathered by one of the dogs who “acted” in the film “Marley & Me”.
Irina Shayk is keen to give something back to children in her homeland and uses her model status to do good in the world. She volunteers her time at a maternity ward in her hometown of Yemanzhelinsk in Russia and she has also organized fundraising efforts and donated a large amount of funds toward the reconstruction of the area for children in the hospital. She is also the face of the Russian children’s charity Pomogi, an organisation that provides care to sick children in Russia.
